It's that time of year where Timeout support the very worthy cause... Macmillian Cancer Support. We hosted a coffee morning at Riverbank School and Brearley Hall School with the company growing we decided two locations would be best.
Local Businesses from Ripponden supported us as well as pupils, carers and parents from Riverbank School. Brearley Hall School hosted the same coffee morning with Elland House pupils in attendance. The children from Timeout made and amazing effort as always! The showstopper at Riverbank was the union jack iced cake in remembrance of our late Queen. I personally loved the watermelon fruit cake made by one of the pupils at Riverbank for a teacher who cannot eat cake, what a kind gesture and just reminds us of the amazing young people in our care!!
Also, a big thankyou to all the teachers at Riverbank you're amazing and a special thanks to Joel our lovely chef for baking his famous cakes for both schools!
I think we can all agree Macmillian Cancer support is just so important throughout the UK. The list is endless of what this charity achieves, they do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer.
As you know Timeout is a family run business and we believe the work they do is incredible and is close to our hearts.
This year we managed to raise £378.50p!!!
Which is a new record! I am really proud of everyone involved who supported the coffee morning from local businesses to pupils, staff, carers, friends and family. We could not of achieved this figure without you!!
We will of course continue to support Macmillian Cancer Support moving forward!
